The Last Days of Summer
carthalis | August 26, 2010One of my favourite times of the year is that small gap between the fading sun of summer and autumn just peeking round the corner. There is something quite special and almost magical about it. The fading glimmer of summer slowly sinks, and there’s just a hint in the air of autumn approaching. Maybe some leaves on the trees have already started turning. Fields are ripe with corn ready to be gathered in for the harvest festivals. Growing up in the countryside it was a lot more noticeable, my great grandma would fill us with folktales as she stood in the kitchen baking. So for me it’s always a very special time and one I always look forward to.
