Happy New Year to everyone and I hope this coming year brings what you hope and wish for. It’s certainly been a tumultuous year around the world.

Thank you to everyone that has read and supported this blog over the past year, for all your comments and messages both here and in-world, thank you. A very special thank you to all the designers who for all their creations make all this possible, that have inspired me and continue to wow me with their creations. There’s certainly been some outstanding and amazing things made over the past year.

One of the particular highlights for me from the past year was the number of events organised to help raise money for Japan, the spirit of Second Life came out as designers and shoppers came together to raise money for various charities involved in the relief work.

Fashion in Second Life certainly moved forward in leaps and bounds, and especially with the introduction of mesh it has given designers to new tools to work with and I hope many continue to use it. I personally think this year that male fashion in particular in Second Life has come such a long way from what it used to be and really shone out. With stores like Mr Poet, Lapointe & Bastchild, Adjunct, Huz Tat’s, and many more raising the bar and showcasing some amazing creations. Seasonal collections have certainly been outstanding and in particular Miamai’s latest collection fusing art and design has created work that is truly beautiful and amazing to look at and wear. Gabriel’s latest Winter collection I think is the best they’ve ever done.Looking to 2012 I can only wonder what the year ahead will bring and I’m looking forward to seeing what the coming months will bring.
